Starla has an extensive background in data management, and human relations support, along with event management experience. During her ten-year employment with Procter & Gamble, she excelled in extensive organizational and administrative duties with a high degree of interface with all levels of the organization. She was the travel coordinator for 680 people and maintained travel budgets and audited expense reports for multiple departments. She was the plans and benefits coordinator for 200 people in her department.
In the human resource arena, she has developed job descriptions and maintained Employee Handbooks, supervised benefits administration, and assisted in employment issues, including hiring and problem resolution. She has handled new employee onboarding and terminations and served as a liaison between the organization and outside agencies/vendors. Starla holds a Certification in Human Resource Management and is a Member of SAHRA.
Over the course of her career, she has managed all aspects of events--planning process, including collaboration with volunteer teams, vendors, venue identification, registration processes, and budget tracking. This included coordination of local, regional, and national conferences of various types and sizes.
Along the way, she was owner of "Unclutter It!" a Professional Organizing Business and part of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers). She assisted clients, both residential and businesses, to organize their homes, businesses, and lives. This included setting-up filing system (paper and electronic) for clients to fit their needs and to help them become more efficient.
